HEYY :)

I created this blog, not to have a new hobby, but to write about things in my life anonymously. Some of my entries might not make sense to you, but they do have meaning. I hope you enjoyed this blog, but I'm starting a new one. I won't be adding anything to this one anymore but I'm not going to delete it. My new blog is called MY VOICE...

NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

March 20, 2010

Champions who shared a love for Jesus gathered under the roof of an immense stadium. The main speaker explained what made us champions on the inside. Goliath was a champion on the outside, but, because of his faith in God, David was the true champion on the inside. Those whose lives are based on pleasing God, those who do what they do for Him, shared their story and testimony. Their names I do not wish to write, but they are successful because of what God did in their lives. I will give clues, however. This woman’s life changed when she lost her leg under a train. She said it didn’t matter what people thought of her, but she believed that people should be treated differently, because we are all different. This lady, who has a month for her first name and a place where you return to for her last name, believed in God and herself, and she won a gold in the Paralympics, in track and field. Another speaker, a Reggae singer whose last name is a place that keeps you fit, spoke about how all his songs are based on scripture. One he sang was “All You Need Is Love”, and no, he’s not a beetle. The last guest speaker, one who plays on the field for one member of the audience, was a college football quarterback. You football fans may find him familiar when you hear his last name has to do with trees or dogs, your pick. Back to the single most important member of the audience…the LORD. He says he works hard and plays to please Him alone. This football player wakes up every morning to read his Bible and pray. There were other performances included in this event and enough praise and worship to make you go deaf. I know I almost did. The message was to commit to God and to become stronger in your walk with the LORD.
