The track meet was today. I placed in all my events so I guess it was good. Being at the Norte Vista/Alvord stadium, seeing what I was forced to leave behind; it made me realize how much of it I was missing. If only I could return to how things used to be. Enjoying life and cheering in the stands. The eight graders from last year were clearly missed; with their cheering and enthusiasm. Things just felt… tired, today. Maybe next year will be better, hopefully, by then; I’ll be back where I belong. If God chooses, of course, I will be with those who I feel that I belong with, away from the ways of my new world. I’d be studying better, working my hardest, and making a mark worth being seen in the world. I wonder what will become of tomorrow, when champions gather on a night of praise and worship.
